About me
Hi I'm Lee , just thought I'd introduce myself.
Welcome to my website and thank you for taking the time to read this far, I hope you find this site useful and user friendly .
Let me start off with a bit of history~
I attended Harlow college (1995) for 2 years and completed an NVQ level 2 in hairdressing and a city & guilds
Since college I have been working in and around Harlow - Hertfordshire- Herts - and london's west end gaining valuable experience running and working in various salons and working with all different hair types. I have learned so much from some fantastic hairdressers and owe a lot of my skill to them, however with the good comes the bad, It's amazing what people get away with . not to put a negative spin on this but I feel a client deserves more from her hairdresser.
In December 2005 I decided to set up my own salon Lee Culver - Hair Design .
I wanted to provide a different type of salon. For years I had been chatting to and getting to know my clients, I discovered that many clients feel uncomfortable in a salon where they are pushed from pillar to post and had many people (some qualified & some not ) working on their hair and many felt not as satisfied with the end result.
I therefore decided to work alone, and provide the clients with a one to one service where they always get me to do their hair from start to finish. I do everything from the hair washing, cutting , blowdrying , hair extensions, colouring making the tea and coffee and answering the phone. I always book clients in with enough time to do their hair so that no-one is ever rushed. It seems to run very smoothly so far and I much prefer being totally in control .The appointment only system works very well and personally I think is much more professional.
Its not going to be every clients desire to be in a salon where the stylist does everything but I would be foolish to think you can please everyone all of the time, if my last 12 years in hairdressing has taught me anything its just that.
I feel clients should be totally relaxed after having their hair done and look and feel fantastic about themselves, with a professional stylist that listens and understands their needs.
I feel its very important to have good communication with my clients so please don't hesitate to express exactly what you want and I like a bit of honesty.
Just a note; I know some clients have children, which are welcome, as long as you understand some services do take a long time and there is no entertainment for children in my salon
Also some clients may be waiting in-between your appointment for their colur to process or they may be just waiting, so as I have srtived for my salon to be somewhat of a haven and a relaxing time for clients the addition of kids running riot makes everyone uncomfortable, so I'm not saying you can't bring your children just please keep them under control or bring another adult to occupy them .
Please note I do NOT cut childrens hair.
Thanks for taking the time to read this far and your co-operation is appreciated hope to meet you soon . Lee Culver.
